We sell high quality body jewelry & want you to have it for years to come Please read these important tips about caring for your purchase.
All of our body jewelry is new, and has never been worn, but it is not sterile. No matter where you purchase body jewelry from, you should wash it with antibacterial soap and water before wearing. Never use alcohol, unless the jewelry is made entirely of steel, including all components. Alcohol will warp & crack acrylic and/or ruin most organic body jewelry.
Wood jewelry should be cleaned with a damp cloth & dried. DO NOT soak wood jewelry, it will swell.
Horn & Bone jewelry should have a small amout of jojoba oil rubbed into it occasionally.
Stone jewelry should be cleaned with a mild soap & water.
Check your body jewelry periodically during the day to make sure all components are securely tightened. Be careful not to over-tighten threaded jewelry, as this can strip the threads.
We offer steel body jewelry in 316L, 316LVM, 316L ASTM F-138-03 surgical steel. 316L is fine for healed piercings. This is what most people sell. 316LVM is what GOOD proffesional piercers pierce with. 316L ASTM F-138-03 is reserved for large gauges. This is implant grade steel. Know what you are buying!
Gauges: (refers to the thickness of the wearable area)
0 = 8mm, 2 = 7mm, 4 = 5mm, 6 = 4mm, 8 = 3.2mm, 10 = 2.5mm, 12 = 2mm, 14 = 1.6, 16 = 1.2mm, 18 = 1mm, 20 = .08
Captive Bead Rings-The size of all types of rings is the inside diameter of the ring. The gauge is the thickness of the shaft.
Circular Barbells-Circular barbells get their size from the inside diameter of the ring similar to captive bead rings. The gauge is the thickness of the shaft.
Labrets-Labrets are measured from the disk to the ball along the length of the bar. The gauge is the thickness of the shaft.
Plugs-The size of a plug is the distance between the o-rings (the wearable area). The gauge is the diameter of the plug.
Tongue Rings-Straight barbell size is the linear length of the bar between the balls. The gauge is the thickness of the shaft. This applies to bent barbells used for the eyebrow also.
